Jagdamba Motors TVS has now officially opened bookings for the new TVS Apache RTR 160 4v in the country. TVS has completely refreshed the new RTR 160 with a comprehensive styling and mechanical upgrades, making it one of the best looking motorcycles in its segment.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 takes heavy inspiration from its elder sibling, the RTR200. In terms of styling, it gets the same aggressive fuel tank, headlight cluster, digital instrument console, LED tail-light, similar ‘double barrel’ exhaust, and even turn indicators. The bike also gets a new Showa mono-shock ditching the earlier twin shock-absorbers. However, it rides on differently designed alloy wheels.

Mechanically, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V gets a new 159 cc SI, 4 stroke, oil cooled engine which deliver 16.2 bhp of power and 14.8 Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed gearbox. We expect the bike to be only available in the carburettor version for the Nepalese market. The bike can do 0-60kmph in 4.73 seconds and top speed ranges from 113kmph to 114kmph.

In terms of dimensions, the bike measures 2050mm in length, 800 mm in seat height, 790mm in width and has a ground clearance of 180mm. The RTR 160 4V has a wheelbase of 1357mm. Fuel capacity is 12-litres. It is available in three colours – Racing Red, Metallic Blue and Knight Black.
