Hyundai Motor India has unveiled the first glimpse and announced the name of its upcoming new-gen Grand i10 hatchback – The Grand i10 Nios. Hyundai says the name ‘Nios’ means ‘more’, and denotes the new Grand i10’s promise of providing more value, more features, more performance and more space to the buyers.  It will co-exist with the current-gen Grand i10, and will slot in between the Grand i10 and i20 in Hyundai’s line-up. It will be sold in ten variants.

The all-new Grand i10 Nios, which is the third-generation model in the i10 family, gets Hyundai’s signature “Cascading Grille” for a much wider and stronger appeal to the front, boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, projector headlamps, shark-fin antenna, and dual-tone alloy wheels.

Sporting an ivory-grey color scheme, the new Grand i10 Nios gets an all-new dashboard, with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, taking the center stage. The upper C pad appears to be floating on the lower C Pad and the door trim character line flowing into the C pad does provide the interior a wider and spacious feel. From what we can see, the car will get steering mounted controls, a semi-digital instrument cluster, an automatic climate control system, and dual airbags.

No details on features and engine options are available yet. We expect engine options to remain the same,of course in BSVI guise. The 1.2 petrol motor makes 83PS and 116 Nm while the 1.2-litre U2 diesel makes 75PS and 194 Nm.
