100 Units of Omoda and Jaecoo J6 EVs Delivered to Customers in Nepal in a Single Day

SPG Automobiles Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor for Omoda and Jaecoo Co. Ltd. in Nepal, has announced the delivery of 100 units of the Omoda E5 and Jaecoo J6 in a single day.

Officially launched at the NADA Auto Show in August 2024, the Jaecoo J6 has quickly become popular among enthusiasts due to its excellent power, performance, and rugged design. Similarly, the Omoda E5 gained significant popularity shortly after its launch. Omoda recently introduced an affordable DLX variant at the NADA Auto Show, with a price tag of Rs. 55.99 Lakh.

Designed to handle Nepal's challenging off-road conditions, the J6 is perfect for adventure seekers, says the company. With a long 2715 mm wheelbase, large 18 or 19-inch wheels, and 200 mm ground clearance, it excels in off-road terrains. This 5-seater electric SUV also features a panoramic sunroof, an 8-12 speaker Infinity sound system, and an interior designed for easy cleaning. Its side-hinged tailgate opens to reveal a 264L boot space and a 10 kg payload box for emergencies.

The Jaecoo J6 is available with a dual electric motor 4WD configuration providing 200 Nm of torque and 280kW of maximum power, or a single motor variant with 184Nm of torque and 135kW of maximum power, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds.

Powered by CATL-supplied LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries (available in 50.6 kWh, 65.7 kWh, or 69.7 kWh), the Jaecoo J6 has a CLTC-standard range of 501 km. It also features rapid charging capabilities, allowing it to charge from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes via both DC and AC ports.
