TVS Motor Company has upgraded its flagship offering, the Apache RR310, for 2021 with a host of new features and multiple customisation options including two performance kits - Dynamic and Race. The 2021 TVS Apache RR310 which has been launched in the Indian market at a price of INR 2.60 Lakh also gets a new racier exhaust system for improved cornering clearance, optional adjustable suspension, and racier ergonomics.The company has also introduced TVS' new 'Built To Order' system where buyers will be able customise their bikes online with various colour combinations and accessories. TVS will also offer 'Race Replica' graphic inspired by the TVS Racing OMC race machines, alloy wheel colour options, and personalised race number on the visor.
2021 Apache RR 310: Dynamic kit
The Dynamic Kit includes a fully adjustable KYB front fork, fully adjustable rear mono-shock and anti-rust coated brass drive chain. The KYB front fork gets a 20-step compression and rebound damping and 15mm of preload adjustment. Similarly, the rear mono-shock comes with a 20-step rebound damping and a 10-step preload adjuster. This allows the customers to adjust the suspension as per their riding style or given road conditions. The bike also comes with a new wave key with an integrated in-hand adjuster for damping adjustment, limiting the use of special tools to adjust your suspension.[gallery size="full" ids="28513,28514,28512"]
2021 Apache RR 310: Race kit
The Race kit offers sportier ergonomics with tucked down race handlebar that is 8-degree downwards and moved towards the rider by 5 degrees, knurled footpegs that are placed 30mm higher up resulting in an extra 4.5 degrees of cornering clearance, and race ergo footrest assembly for higher lean angle.[gallery size="full" ids="28515,28516,28517"]The updated digital cluster unit on the Apache RR 310 also gets the facility of Digi Docs to store important documentation such as Registration Certificate and Drivers License,Day trip meter, dynamic rev-limit indicator, and overspeed indicator.The motor of the new Apache RR 310 remains unchanged with the 310cc single-cylinder engine from the outgoing model. The engine which is based on the BMW's G 310 R's motor is capable of churning out 34 hp of maximum power and 27.3 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Meghashyam Dighole, Head - (Marketing) Premium Motorcycles, TVS Motor Company, said, “We are delighted to announce the launch of the new business vertical, the TVS ‘Built To Order’ (BTO), our first factory Customise-Personalise platform. Each customer has a unique riding style and expression. This platform empowers our customers to customise and personalise their machines as per their requirements.The good news is existing TVS Apache RR 310 customers can also avail some of these features as accessories, namely the race handlebar, race footrest, race footpeg, and new cluster features in the form of software updates, which can be retrofitted to their motorcycles.
