Range Rover 2022 Leaked Interior
The all-new 2022 Range Rover has leaked online, ahead of its global debut on 26 October. The fifth-gen luxury SUV gets a revised styling while retaining its classic styling profile. The new Range Rover will be the first Land Rover to utilize the brand’s new MLA Flex platform, which has been designed to accept combustion-engined, plug-in hybrid and fully electric powertrains. As seen from the images, the new Range Rover’s retains the imposing two-box profile. However, it gets new headlights and a new radiator grille. While the bonnet looks the same, the car now gets a new vertical detailing on the front door near the A-pillar. Along the sides, the character line has been moved upward and sits above the new flush-fitting door handles. The rear end of the car looks new though, with a new full-width taillight on the tailgate and vertical lighting clusters on the rear ends of the car.
“The New Range Rover is a vehicle with a peerless character, from the impeccable restraint of its exterior to the flawless tranquil sanctuary of its cabin. Informed by creative intellect and a desire for perfection, it doesn’t follow fashion or trend, but by a modernist design philosophy, combined with over 50 years of evolution, it is quite simply the most desirable Range Rover ever created.”, says Prof Gerry Mcgovern Obe, Chief Creative Officer, Jaguar Land Rover.
The 2022 Range Rover will be available in both standard and long-wheelbase versions and will be sold in different powertrains including a plug-in hybrid and an internal combustion engine (a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 sourced from BMW X5 and X7’s XDrive 50i versions). There are also rumours of rear-wheel steering on some versions.
The interior suggests that the all-new Range Rover will gain the latest version of Jaguar Land Rover's Pivo Pro entertainment system, a digital instrument cluster, Land Rover’s existing gear selector, wood highlights, and leather trim.
The new Range Rover will take on the likes of the Bentley Bentayga, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, BMW X7, Maybach GLS, and Aston Martin DBX.
