2022 Renault Kwid Launched in India at INR 4.49 Lakh

Renault has refreshed the Kwid line-up for 2022, with starting prices set at INR 4.49 lakh. The 2022 Kwid has been given mild cosmetic updates and a new RXL (O) variant that sits between the base-spec RXL and mid-spec RXT. Compared to the RXL variant, RXL (O) additionally gets new door decals, new wheel covers, grey fabric upholstery with contrasting white stitching, and LED tail-lights. Offering a few more features than the base variant for a little premium, RXL(O) bridges the gap between RXL and RXT variants.The Climber range has also been updated with two new dual-tone color options – Metal Mustard and Ice Cool White, both with a contrasting black roof.  Part of the 2022 update also includes new safety features such as driver side seat belt pre-tensioner and load limiter as standard.The Kwid comes with features like an 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity, voice commands, LED DRLs, electrically folding ORVMs, a reverse parking camera, and more. Other safety features include dual front airbags, ABS and EBD, seat belt reminder, and reverse parking sensors.The Kwid continues to be offered with the same three-cylinder petrol engines – a 54hp, 72Nm 0.8-litre, and a 68hp, 91Nm 1.0-litre. The 800cc Kwid comes with a 5-speed manual only, while the 1.0-liter variant also gets an optional 5-speed AMT gearbox.
