Maruti Suzuki has introduced the fourth-gen Swift in India. This updated model boasts a refreshed exterior design, enhanced features, added safety equipment, and a more fuel-efficient 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine.
Regarding its design, the new Swift showcases a redesigned front bumper, an updated radiator grille, modified headlights and fog lights, fresh 15-inch alloy wheel designs, and a revised C-shaped tail lamp pattern. It offers nine colour choices, including two new options: Lustre Blue and Novel Orange. Despite being 15mm longer, 40mm narrower, and 30mm taller compared to its predecessor, the new Swift maintains the same wheelbase of 2,450mm.
Inside the cabin of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift, you will find a revamped dashboard featuring Piano Black accents and Satin Matte Silver inserts, along with asymmetrical dials for the instrument cluster. In terms of equipment, it gets a nine-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, wireless charger, wireless phone mirroring, Suzuki Connect, rear AC vents, 60:40 split rear seats, and keyless entry. Safety features include six airbags, ESP, brake assist, three-point seatbelts with reminders for all occupants, and a reverse parking camera.
Under the hood, the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift is powered by a new Z-Series 1.2-liter petrol engine, delivering 82hp and 112Nm of torque, slightly less than its predecessor. This engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Furthermore, the fuel efficiency of the new Swift has been improved, with claimed mileage figures of 24.8kmpl for the 5-speed MT variant and 25.75kmpl for the 5-speed AMT variant.
