Xpeng has launched the 2025 G6 electric SUV in China, featuring a lower starting price and significantly improved charging speeds.
The new 2025 model boasts 81 updates, the most notable being the "bulletproof" 5C AI battery, which can charge from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes—making it one of the fastest-charging EVs globally.
Starting at 176,800 yuan, the 2025 G6 is nearly 11% cheaper than its predecessor, enhancing its appeal in the competitive EV market.
A key highlight is Xpeng’s Turing AI intelligent driving system—an advanced ADAS powered by the company’s proprietary 40-core Turing chip, delivering performance equivalent to three high-end processors.
Similarly, the 5C AI battery adds 450 km of range in just 10 minutes, even in extreme temperatures as low as -30°C. Xpeng claims the battery is encased in armor capable of withstanding over 1,000°C of heat, 80 tons of side-impact force, and 2,000 joules of bottom impact resistance.
Performance-wise, the G6 is driven by a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor producing 218 kW (292 hp) and 450 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 6.3 seconds, reaches a top speed of 202 km/h, and consumes just 12.5 kWh per 100 km.
The 2025 G6 will be offered in three trims: 625 Long-range Max Technology Edition, 625 Long-range Max Ultimate Edition, and 725 Ultra-long-range Max Ultimate Edition. The 625 variants offer a CLTC-rated range of 625 km, while the 725 model extends range by an additional 100 km.
On the exterior, the most notable feature is the 1,942 mm-long light strip seamlessly integrated with the turn signal visuals. Inside, updates include a 9-inch streaming rearview mirror, upgraded soft-touch materials, and Xpeng’s new "cloud-sense" seats with heating, ventilation, and front-seat massage functions.
With its enhanced features, competitive pricing, and cutting-edge battery technology, the 2025 Xpeng G6 strengthens its position as an attractive player in the EV market.
