The Suzuki Swift has now been facelifted for 2021 with a new 1.2-litre enhanced Hybrid engine as well as further standard specification upgrades for the European market. The 2021 Suzuki Swift facelift gets a revised front-end styling, higher standard specification and even further emphasis on safety equipment levels across the range.

The 2021 Swift incorporates a new front grille and headlamp design for the facelift model. Enhanced carry-over elements include strong shoulders and vertically arranged front and rear lamps.  All models now have LED headlamps and rear combination lamps as standard equipment.

Standard equipment for all models in the range is even more comprehensive than before. Model wise equipment includes radar brake support with adaptive cruise control, smartphone link display audio with DAB radio, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone, leather steering wheel, privacy glass, LED Headlamps, LED rear combination lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, keyless start, dual sensor brake support, lane departure warning and weaving alert, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitor, traffic sign recognition and rear parking sensors.

The 1.2-litre Dualjet engine which was first introduced in 2014 is now replaced by the new K12D Dualjet unit which offers a greater fuel economy. The maximum power output is 82 bhp with a torque figure of 107Nm at just 2,800 rpm. Similarly, Suzuki has incorporated an enhanced hybrid system available as standard equipment across all ranges. The upgraded 12V Hybrid system incorporates an Integrated Starter Generator (known as ISG) with a power output of 3 bhp with a torque figure of 50Nm and the components of the system add just 6.2kg to the overall weight of the car.

Suzuki’s CVT powertrain is now available as an option on the facelifted models with 2WD. The Swift facelift adopts Suzuki’s ALLGRIP ‘AUTO’ four-wheel drive system which is available optionally on the SZ5 model with manual transmission only. The Swift facelift utilises Suzuki’s ‘HEARTECT’ lightweight platform strategy – kerb weight of just 911kg for SZ-L grade.
