The new Aprilia RX 125 and SX 125 share superstructures, frame, engine, and suspension, but each has a distinctive character that can be adapted to different settings. While the RX 125 is targeted towards off-road enthusiasts with the large 21” rims on the front and 18” on the rear with knobby tyres, the SX 125 is fitted with 17″motard tyres for street duties. Aprilia says both motorcycles deliver rigorous performance and absolute control.

They are both equipped with a refined single-cylinder 125 cc engine that delivers a maximum power of 15 HP @ 10500 RPM and a peak torque of 11.3NM@ 8000 RPM. Aprilia has been able to further refine the four-stroke engine, allowing it to enter the strict Euro 4 standard. RX and SX are equipped with advanced suspension and a new ABS braking system with anti-roll-over.

Aprilia is the first to introduce the Bosch ABS system with Anti-Rollover mode guaranteeing safety, precision and total control in braking. The SX’s 300 mm front disc with a double-piston floating caliper is assisted by a 220 mm rear, also with a floating caliper and the RX comes with wave discs, 260 mm front and 220 mm rear, clearly inspired from Aprilia’s racing heritage.

Aprilia says the SX and RX are destined to leave a mark in their segment with design at the service of functionality, where effective riding control is never sacrificed for fancy shapes or unnecessary trappings. A distinctive trait of this revamped design can be found in the spoked wheels with black anodized rims, the double-section black anodized aluminum handlebar, and the handy engine guard.
