Chitwan Automobiles Association and Hetauda Automobiles Association, the institutional members of NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal (NADA), too have conducted a peaceful protest program regarding the unfavourable banking policies. Those associations have protested under the nationwide movement announced by NADA.
Automobile businessmen carrying placards and banners with anti-policy slogans came down to Lions Chowk in Narayangadh and Buddha Chowk in Hetauda. They allege that the latest policy of the government has led to the collapse of the automobile industry.
In the sit-in program, the businessmen called for the cancellation of current capital loan guidance, modification of monetary policy, interest rate control, rescheduling of loans for the revival of the automobile business, special concessions on interest rates, removal of 50 percent cap on auto loan financing, and the adjustment in the bank's interest rate.
There was also solidarity from the Chitwan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Makwanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the sit-in programs.
