Since its debut in January 2020, the Chetak has carved out a strong niche in the Indian electric scooter market. Since then, Bajaj Auto has sold over 100,000 units of the Chetak electric scooter in India.
Known for its robust metal frame and advanced technological features, the Bajaj Chetak is available in three versions – 2901, Urbane, and Premium – with various battery configurations.
The base model, 2901, is equipped with a 2.88 kWh battery and offers an ARAI-certified range of 123 km. The Urbane variant features a 2.9 kWh battery with an ARAI-certified range of 113 km, while the Premium variant boasts a 3.2 kWh battery providing an ARAI-certified range of 126 km.
In terms of features, the Chetak includes a 5-inch TFT display, reverse mode, illuminated switch gears, and full LED lighting. In the Indian market, the TecPac offers additional features like turn-by-turn navigation, music control, call management, and hill hold mode.
Charging the Chetak is convenient with a standard three-pin charging socket, requiring approximately six to eight hours for a full charge.
Competing directly with models like the TVS iQube and other 125cc scooters, the Bajaj Chetak aims to offer a compelling choice in the electric scooter segment. According to our sources, it will be competitively priced to challenge other 125cc scooters.
