Finally, the news we've been waiting for. BMW Motorrad India has announced pre-bookings for two of the most anticipated motorcycles in recent times - the BMW G 310R and the BMW G310 GS from June 8, 2018. There is no word yet on the pricing, however, we believe the G 310R will be priced around INR 3 lakh, while the G 310GS will be priced around INR 3.5 lakh At present, BMW has only said that deliveries will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis. Both the G310R and G310GS are BMW's first smallest capacity motorcycles and are manufactured at TVS Motor's Hosur plant near Bengaluru, India and are being exported to international markets.
Mechanically, both share their 313cc, reverse-inclined, single-cylinder engine with the upcoming TVS Apache RR 310, which also offers 34 bhp of power and 28Nm of torque. The G310R is the first BMW roadster under 500 cc and it embodies the pure essence of a BMW roadster with its one cylinder engine, low weight, powerful dynamic performance and striking looks.[gallery size="full" ids="3857,3854,3852,3853"]On the other hand, the G310GS is a genuine GS and features classic elements of its big GS sibling models like high front fender, striking flyline and short and high rear. Like the G310R, the GS310GS is BMW's first GS below 500 cc, providing worldwide entry to the premium world of BMW Motorrad.[gallery size="full" ids="3860,3859,3858,3861,3862,3863"]Although BMW group should have entered the Nepalese market by now, we haven't received any updates from the authorised officials regarding the tentative operations date. Hence, no word on the availability in the Nepalese market.
