Yamaha Nepal has launched the BS6 MT-15 in the Nepalese market at an introductory price of Rs 4,49,900.Apart from the new BS6-compliant motor, the new Yamaha MT-15 will also come equipped with a radial tyre at the back, a side-stand engine cut-off feature and a new colour scheme. Similarly, the naked streetfighter makes use of a fully digital negative LCD instrument panel that offers readouts like speed, tachometer, trip meter, ABS status, gear shift indicator, etc.  The new ‘Ice Fluo Vermillion’ colour scheme is similar to the one the Thai- and Indonesia-spec models get.The BS6 Yamaha MT-15 gets a 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-valve motor (which it shares with the R15 BS6). The motor makes 18.6 PS of power and 14.1Nm of torque. The kerb weight though remains unchanged, at 138kg. When compared to the BS4 version, engine outputs are comparatively lower by 0.7PS and 0.6Nm. Also, the shorter final drive ratio on the MT-15 BS6 makes it quicker while commuting. The engine is coupled to a six-speed gearbox. The bike sits on the same delta box frame like on the R15. However, the rear swingarm on the MT-15 is a steel box-type and not an aluminium one like on its fully-faired cousin. Suspension duties on the BS6 MT-15 are handled by telescopic forks with 130 mm wheel travel and mono-shock with swingarm and 97 mm of wheel travel while braking duties are taken care of by 282 mm front and 220 mm rear disc brakes with single-channel ABS.To mark the launch of the BS6 Yamaha MT-15, Yamaha Nepal is also providing extra goodies like a helmet, jacket, skid plate, sticker, tank pad, USB charger, and a seat cover.Scroll below for the latest pricing of Yamaha bikes in Nepal[table id=16 /]
