BYD Nepal Strengthens Customer Confidence with New Warranty Policy in Nepal

Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of BYD vehicles in Nepal, has announced a major upgrade to its warranty policy for BYD electric cars that will now be sold in the country. This enhanced warranty is expected to set a new benchmark for EV after-sales service in the Nepali market.

The updated warranty program includes substantial extensions across key components of the vehicles. Most notably, the battery warranty has been increased from the existing 8 years or 160,000 kilometers to an impressive 10 years or 200,000 kilometers—positioning it among the longest coverage periods in the EV industry. Likewise, the motor warranty has been extended from 8 years or 150,000 kilometers to 10 years or 200,000 kilometers.

In addition to the core powertrain coverage, BYD has also improved its whole vehicle warranty. Coverage for components such as lighting systems, tire pressure monitoring modules, suspension, and ball joints now extends to 5 years or 125,000 kilometers, up from the previous 4 years or 100,000 kilometers.

The warranty on general vehicle parts, excluding consumables and a few specific items like oils, charging equipment, and refrigerants, has been revised to 7.5 years or 187,500 kilometers—an increase from the previous 6 years or 150,000 kilometers.
