Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of BYD Auto Industry in Nepal, has increased the prices of its vehicles owing to the rising exchange rates and other corresponding factors.

Cimex BYD says the price increment is mainly due to the rising dollar rates and there has been an unprecedented rise in raw material costs globally combined with significant inflationary pressure across the total supply chain.

Earlier, it was priced at Rs 44.50 Lakh.

Explaining the new revised pricing, Sahil Shrestha, CEO of Cimex Inc, said "Our product range has been impacted by the increasing cost of supply and exchange rate pressures within the global market. Customers who have already booked the vehicles will be protected from the price hike, while the new prices will apply to all vehicles invoiced from 27th July 2022".

"We have tried to absorb the increasing dollar rates as much as possible but the spread has been quite significant in the past few weeks. Hence, we have been compelled to hike the prices." he further added.
