The BYD SEAGULL/DOLPHIN MINI has been awarded the title of 2025 World Urban Car at the World Car Awards, held during the New York International Auto Show. Outshining 11 elite contenders from around the world, this win marks the first time a Chinese automotive brand has claimed victory at the World Car Awards—further cementing BYD’s leadership in the global new energy vehicle sector.

The SEAGULL/DOLPHIN MINI showcases BYD’s Ocean Aesthetics design philosophy, delivering a fresh and dynamic look that has captured the attention of international audiences. Alongside its modern design, the model boasts high safety standards and smart driving features, making it a top-seller in several major markets and earning it a strong global reputation. This recognition is a testament to its appeal, with 96 professional jurors worldwide applauding its innovative design, exceptional urban mobility performance, and broad market relevance.
