With the government’s recent hike in excise and customs duties on EVs ranging from 51 kW to 100 kW, Changan Nepal has adjusted the pricing of its Deepal S07 EV. The Deepal S07 will now be offered at Rs 74.99 Lakh, reflecting a price increase of Rs 3 Lakh from its previous price of Rs 71.99 Lakh.

The Deepal S07, introduced only two months ago, has redefined the electric SUV landscape in Nepal, boasting a sleek design, impressive performance, and state-of-the-art features. According to the company, the next shipment of the Deepal S07 is expected to arrive in Nepal by July.

The Deepal S07 features a 66.8 kWh Ternary Lithium Battery to provide a WLTP range of 410 km, complemented by a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor to deliver 99 kW and a peak torque of 320 Nm. It also gets four driving modes – Eco, Comfort, Sport and Customize.

Positioned as a mid-sized electric SUV, the Deepal S07 adopts a five-seater layout. The Deepal S07 is based on Changan’s latest EV-dedicated modular platform called EPA1.

The exterior and interior features include a panoramic glass roof, electric hidden door handles, power tailgate, front/rear boneless wipers, front trunk, 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat with 4-way power adjustment lumbar support, 4-way power adjustment front passenger seat, 20-inch tires, perforated synthetic leather seats, zero-gravity front seats, ventilated driver and front passenger cushion and backrest, 3-zone climate control, and rear touchscreen a/c control panel, among many others.

The rather minimalistic interior gets a 15.6-inch central control screen that has a built-in Deepal OS, a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, and a 53-inch AR-HUD powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. The Deepal S07 also gets Wireless Apple Carplay, a 14-speaker Sony music system, a 360-degree camera, a dashcam, an In-car monitor, hand gesture recognition and several cabin intelligent scenario modes.

In terms of safety, the Deepal S07 also supports several advanced driving assistance functions such as integrated adaptive cruise control, lane change assist, rear collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, rear cross-traffic braking and safe distance warning, among many others.

The Deepal S07 boasts dimensions of 4750mm in length, 1930mm in width, and 1625mm in height, accompanied by a 2900mm wheelbase. Similarly, the ground clearance stands at 175mm. The Deepal S07 is available in six exterior shades – Comet White, Nebula Green, Lunar Grey, Eclipse Black, Sunset Orange and Cosmic Yellow, and two interior colours – Orange and Black.
