Changan Nepal is gearing up to launch the Lumin EV in the Nepalese market, priced at Rs 21.99 Lakh. The Lumin is a fully electric mini car, boasting a two-door, four-seat configuration.
In the Chinese market, the Changan Lumin is available in three versions: 155 km, 205 km, and 301 km. However, in our market, the Lumin will feature a powertrain with a maximum motor power of 35kW, a 27.99kWh battery pack, and a CLTC cruising range of 301km. Additionally, the Lumin supports DC Fast charging, capable of charging the battery from 30% to 80% capacity in just 35 minutes.
Built on Changan’s EPA0 pure electric platform, the Lumin measures 3270mm in length, 1700mm in width, and 1545mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1980mm. Its chassis utilizes front MacPherson and rear coil spring integral axle suspension.
Inside, the Lumin impresses with a 7-inch digital instrument screen, a 10.25-inch infotainment unit, and a voice assistant. It offers features like reverse imaging, mobile phone interconnection, voice control, and Bluetooth connectivity for both music and calls.
The Lumin has seen considerable success for Changan, with sales reaching 140,800 units in 2023, with 77% of customers being women.
