Chery Achieves Record Exports Of 20000 Units in January 2022

Recently, Chery Group released its January 2022 sales report, announcing a record start for the Chinese manufacturer in several markets across the world.In January, the actual end-user sales reached 107710 units, an increase of 20% year-on-year and a record high for the same period in history. In terms of exports, Chery’s sales in January exceeded 20000 units (26900 units exported in total), up 60.9% year-on-year, showing a steady growth trend, especially in key markets such as Russia, Chile, Brazil, and Egypt, where Chery's sales volumes and market shares continued to increase.According to the data released by AEB (Association of European Business), Chery's Russia sales in January 2022 increased by 47% year-on-year, ranking 10th among all automobile brands, and Tiggo 7 Pro became Chery's best-selling model in Russia in January.Similarly, in Chile, Chery ranked second among all automobile brands in January with the sales of 2969 units, a year-on-year increase of 188%, surpassing Toyota, Volkswagen, Nissan and other brands, and reached a market share of 8%. In the SUV segment, Chery remained first in market share in January with the share of 20.5% and Tiggo 2 became the best-selling SUV model of Chery in Chile.Likewise, in Brazil, Chery steadily ranked among the top ten passenger vehicle brands in sales in Brazil with a sales volume of 3131 units in January, surpassing Nissan and Ford, and reached a market share of 3.4%, a year-on-year growth of 36.6%. In the SUV segment, Tiggo 3X, Tiggo 8, Tiggo 5X and other models continued to sell well. Besides, Arrizo 6 Pro, a new member of the Pro FZamily, ranked fourth in the car segment with a market share of 6.47%.Moreover, in Egypt, Chery's sales also maintained a steady increase, with the sales of 1658 units in January, up 87.3% year-on-year. Before that, namely, December 2021, Chery's market sales reached a historical peak, ranking third in the total sales of automobiles in Egypt, with Tiggo 7 Pro becoming its best-selling model therein. In addition, according to the data released by Contactecars, an authoritative Egyptian media brand, 2186 Chery vehicles were registered in Egypt in January, surpassing Hyundai.So far, Chery has accumulated more than 10 million users worldwide, including 1.95 million users outside China.
