Deepal, a subsidiary of Changan Automobile, has celebrated a major milestone with the production of its 400,000th vehicle, marked by the S05 model.
In just 29 months since its inception, the brand has experienced impressive growth. According to President Dang Chenghao, Deepal sold over 240,000 units in 2024 alone.
CarNewsChina reports that Deepal took only 14 months to manufacture its first 100,000 vehicles. Currently, its lineup in China includes five models: the S05, L07, S07, G318, and SL03.
Similarly, in our market, Deepal currently offers the L07 and S07 models, with plans to introduce the S05 by March 2025. Since its launch in Nepal eight months ago, more than 700 units of Deepal EVs have been sold. The vehicles have quickly become a customer favorite, thanks to their innovative design and advanced technology.
For 2025, Deepal has set an ambitious target of delivering 500,000 vehicles, with 400,000 allocated for the domestic market and 100,000 for exports.
The highly anticipated S09 SUV is expected to play a key role in achieving this target, alongside the brand’s planned expansion into international markets like Malaysia and Singapore. Deepal also aims to enter the European markets as part of its global strategy.
By the end of 2025, the company expects its vehicles to be available in 81 countries. Meanwhile, Changan is also gearing up to launch its first electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Southeast Asia in early 2025.
