Deepal S05 to Hit the Electric Vehicle Scene in the Third Quarter of 2024

Changan's dynamic electric vehicle (EV) range is set to become even more electrifying with the introduction of the Deepal S05 SUV in the Chinese market, expected around the third quarter of 2024. Having secured its sales license from the Chinese government, the Deepal S05 will join the lineup alongside models like the L07, S07, and the upcoming G318 off-road SUV.Available in both electric (EV) and extended-range electric (EREV) variants, the S05 will cater to diverse consumer preferences and requirements.The EV model is equipped with a robust 175 kW electric motor, while the EREV model combines a 72 kW 1.5L range extender with a 160 kW electric motor, all powered by a durable lithium iron phosphate battery.With dimensions of 4620mm in length, 1900mm in width, and 1600mm in height, and a 2880mm wheelbase, the S05 is compact yet spacious enough to comfortably accommodate five passengers. Its design features a pleasingly rounded body, a distinctive closed front, and split LED headlights, enhancing its futuristic appeal. The rear design is equally impressive, boasting a high-mounted brake light and a double-layer through-type taillight group, finished with a stylishly raised ducktail.The collaboration between Deepal and tech giant Huawei further enhances the S05, integrating state-of-the-art smart car solutions for an unparalleled driving experience, emphasizing Deepal's commitment to innovation and technological advancement in the EV sector.Deepal's delivery of 12,744 vehicles in April and a total of 52,828 vehicles in the first four months of 2024 underscore its enduring market presence and potential for growth toward its ambitious annual target.
