The Flying Flea name draws inspiration from the original Royal Enfield Flying Flea of the 1940s, a lightweight motorcycle used during WWII that was airdropped to provide agile mobility across diverse terrains. The new electric model aims to deliver the same lightness and maneuverability.

The Flying Flea range will feature two models: the classic Flying Flea C6 and the scrambler-styled Flying Flea S6, both equipped with modern connectivity features. These models are expected to launch by early 2026. A two-seater version of the Flying Flea C6 will also be available. However, Royal Enfield has not yet disclosed detailed specifications for the C6.

The design of the Flying Flea C6 combines vintage aesthetics with a ‘retro-futuristic’ flair, incorporating a distinctive girder fork, a lightweight aluminum frame, a magnesium battery case, and dynamic cooling fins.

The electric bike is equipped with 28 new patents and a central Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) that supports over 200,000 ride mode combinations, continuous system monitoring, and Over-the-Air updates. It also offers phone-as-key functionality and customizable ride settings.

Royal Enfield claims the Flying Flea is suitable for riders of all skill levels, with smooth acceleration, lean-angle ABS, cruise control, and fast-charging capabilities, making it an adaptable and user-friendly option for both urban and highway riding.

More details will be released as the 2026 launch date approaches.
