US-based EV manufacturer Fisker has announced that the all-electric Fisker Ocean Extreme has a combined WLTP range of up to 707 km, the longest range of any battery electric SUV sold in the world right now.
According to the company, the Fisker Ocean can travel from London to Glasgow or Paris to Frankfurt without needing a recharge and still have some range left. Compared to other long-range electric SUVs sold in the world, such as the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV (587km range) and the Tesla Model X (565 km range), the Fisker Ocean provides a much greater range.
The Fisker Ocean SUV is available in three versions: Extreme, Ultra and Sport. The base model of the Ocean Sport comes with a single-motor powertrain that can generate 275 horsepower and has a range of 443 km. The Ocean Ultra is equipped with a dual motor system that can deliver 540 horsepower and has a range of 627 km. Similarly, the range-topping Ocean Extreme has a 550 horsepower engine and can travel up to 707 km on a single charge.
US pricing for the Ocean starts at US$37,500 for the Sport up to US$69,000 for the Extreme. The general warranty for the Ocean is set at 6 years/100,000km a powertrain and battery pack warranty of 10 years/160,000 km, with the battery warranty based on a minimum of 75% of its original capacity.
