The Department of Transport Management is all set to introduce the Embossed Number Plate system on vehicles. The Department of Transport Management has issued a notice stating that the embossed number plate will be affixed from July 20 onwards.  In the first phase, the department will install embossed number plates from the transport management offices in Bagmati.

The annual tax and the remaining dues (if any) of the vehicle should be cleared before applying for the Embossed Number Plate. 

According to the information issued by the department, it will cost Rs 2,500 for motorcycles and scooters, Rs 2,900 for three-wheelers, Rs 3,200 for small and medium vehicles, and Rs 3,600 for heavy vehicles and above.
