Hyundai Creta Electric: Performance and Features Unveiled

The upcoming Hyundai Creta Electric will offer advanced technology to redefine convenience and connectivity.

The Creta Electric will feature a Digital Key, an ADAS-linked regenerative braking system, a Shift-by-Wire (SBW) system for easy gear shifts, and i-Pedal technology, which enables acceleration, deceleration, and stopping using just the accelerator pedal.

The cabin of the Creta Electric promises a premium experience, with dual 10.25-inch curvilinear screens and an 8-speaker Bose sound system. Comfort is enhanced with advanced climate control, ventilated front seats, and a cooled glovebox. The vehicle will also offer intelligent voice commands, including control of the panoramic sunroof, and over 70 connected features through Hyundai’s Bluelink platform for added convenience and security.

The major highlight will be the in-car payment system, allowing users to pay for EV charging directly from the infotainment screen, with access to over 1,150 charging points in the Indian market.

In terms of safety, the Creta Electric will boast a strong body structure made from high-strength steel. It will come equipped with Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS, offering 19 advanced safety features, along with over 75 safety functions across all variants. These include six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, electronic parking brakes, and an array of driver assistance systems like a surround-view monitor and rain-sensing wipers.

In terms of powertrain, the Creta Electric will be offered in two battery variants: a 51.4 kWh long-range option providing 473 km of range and a 42 kWh variant offering 390 km. The vehicle will also offer impressive acceleration, going from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds.

Charging the Creta Electric is quick and convenient with the 11 kW smart wall box charger, which can fully charge the vehicle in just 4 hours. For long-distance trips, the DC fast charger can recharge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 58 minutes. The Creta Electric will also feature Active Air Flaps (AAF) to improve aerodynamics and enhance energy efficiency.

The Hyundai Creta Electric will make its official debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo on January 17, 2025. Hyundai Nepal plans to introduce the Creta EV to our market in February 2025, shortly after its launch in India.
