Hyundai is planning to launch the Exter micro SUV in the Indian market by mid-July this year, with production commencing in early July and deliveries starting in August.The upcoming Hyundai Exter will be available in five trims with fifteen variants, three powertrain options and nine exterior paint colours. The Hyundai Exter will be available in five trims - EX, S, SX, SX (O) and the top-spec SX(O) Connect. The base EX doesn't get an AMT gearbox option, while the remaining feature both manual and AMT gearbox options.The Exter will come equipped with 3 powertrain options - a 1.2-litre Kappa Petrol engine (E20 Fuel Ready) available with 5-speed manual transmission (5MT) and AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) as the Grand i10 Nios, Aura and the i20, and a 1.2-litre Bi-fuel Kappa petrol with CNG engine equipped with 5-speed Manual transmission.In terms of safety, the Hyundai Exter will come with six airbags (driver, passenger, curtain and side) as standard. It also gets a dashcam upfront with dual cameras, and a reverse camera in the higher variants.Hyundai will offer the Exter in a total of six monotone exterior colours – Atlas White, Cosmic Blue, Fiery Red, Starry Night, Titan Grey and Ranger Khaki. The Exter also gets the option of three dual-tone colours - Atlas White, Cosmic Blue and Ranger Khaki. The CNG version does not get dual-tone colours.
