Hyundai India has standardized and updated additional safety equipment across its range of products. The 3-point seatbelts and seatbelt reminders for all the seats have now become standard across the range. This feature will be available in every model and variant now.Similarly, 4-Airbags have now become standard across lower models like Grand i10 NIOS,
Aura
and i20. Additionally, models above Verna like Tucson, Kona,
Creta
, Alcazar, and
Ioniq 5
will now get at least 6-Airbags as standard from now on. The
Venue
offers 4-Airbags on the majority of its variants and 6-Airbags on higher variants.Moreover, models like the Venue, i20 and i20 N Line now get standard ESC, VSM, and Hill-Hold Assist. Additionally, the Creta and Alcazar now feature upgraded standard safety features like Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill-start Assist Control, and Rear Disc Brakes. The carmaker is also expected to introduce ADAS in models below Verna.Speaking over this new update, Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India said, “Customer safety is our utmost priority and we have been the forerunners in standardization of safety features. At Hyundai, we are committed to consistently elevating the safety standards of our product line-up, and thus, in sync with Indian Government’s direction, we have upgraded our full range model line-up with 3-point seatbelt and seatbelt reminders for all seats as standard offerings. We firmly believe that Safety feature standardization will offer superior protection for our customers.”
