JAC E-T8 Electric Pickup Truck Now In Nepal

Thee GO has launched the JAC E-T8, the first electric pickup truck in Nepal, at a price of Rs 72,00,000.The company claims a total range of 300 kms (as per NEDC) on the JAC E-T8 pickup truck. The pickup truck is powered by a 67.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Peak power is rated at 110 kW (147.5 bhp) while torque stands at 320 Nm. The electric motor comes mated to a three-speed automatic gearbox. The JAC E-T8 also supports DC fast charging. It can be charged from nought to full in less than 2 hours under DC fast charging while it takes around 16.5 hours to get fully charged under AC charging.The JAC E-T8 measures 5615mm long, 1880mm wide, and 1830mm high. The wheelbase of the electric pickup truck stands at 3380mm while the minimum ground clearance is 197mm. Similarly, the cargo bay measures 1810mm long, 1520mm wide, and 470mm high. The E-T8 has a payload capacity of 800 kg.Suspension duties on the JAC E-T8 are handled by double-wishbone independent suspension with spiral spring at the front and non-independent rear leaf suspension at the rear. Braking duties are taken care of by a disc/drum setup. Safety features include ABS, dual airbags, front and rear fog lamps, and brake override system, etc.With this launch, Thee GO aims to promote sustainability by developing an ecosystem of electric vehicles in Nepal; while, being environmentally conscious. Its mission is to pave the way in making Nepal environmentally sustainable by being a catalyst in promoting eco-friendly transportation in Nepal. The company has labeled this project as the #MissionZeroEmission project.Thee GO has its own ecosystem in which it has included all the services—from promoting its electric vehicles, after-sales service to retrofitting, and many more. The company also has the provision of training and development programs to build skilled manpower for the service of vehicles. Along with all these services, Thee GO also provides retrofitting services to the vehicles, which means, the company can successfully help convert petroleum cars to electric ones.Thee-Go also presented their visionary plan of setting up 50 EV charging stations across the nation as a part of an agreement between NEA & Wanbang Digital Energy, China—with Thee GO as their local partner. Furthermore, the company also presented its plans to help set up 40 units of battery-operated electric buses, 20 units of DC Fast chargers which charges all buses within 5 hours—as a part of an agreement between Sajha & CHTC Kinwin (Nanjing), China with Thee GO as their local partner.
