Chinese automaker Chery has launched its luxury Jaecoo brand in Nepal with the debut of the Jaecoo J6, which is priced at Rs 69.99 lakh. As a special promotion, the first 100 customers can purchase the J6 for Rs 66.99 lakh.
The Jaecoo J6 features a single-motor powertrain delivering 135 kW and is powered by a 65 kWh CATL LFP battery, offering a range of up to 426 km on the NEDC cycle. The rear-mounted motor provides 220 Nm of torque, enabling the J6 to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 10.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 150 km/h.
The J6 measures 4406 mm in length, 1910 mm in width, and 1715 mm in height, with a 2715 mm wheelbase. It has a ground clearance of 195 mm unladen and 170 mm laden, and a turning radius of 5.7 m. Its design is bold and boxy featuring chunky wheel arch extensions, a black roof, a sideways-opening tailgate, boomerang-shaped LED headlights, and electric pop-out door handles.
Inside, the J6 offers a luxurious interior with a 9.2-inch digital instrument display, a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 50-watt Qi wireless charger, and a panoramic glass roof. The rear seats benefit from a flat floor for added comfort. Safety features include six airbags, TPMS, ABS with EBD, and select ADAS technologies.
