Jawa has confirmed its Nepal entry by inviting applications for dealerships across the country. Jawa Motorcycles, the iconic Czech brand that disappeared from the Indian motorcycling scene in the 90s, was resurrected by Classic Legends, a Mahindra & Mahindra subsidiary. The models that Jawa will be bringing into Nepal will be the Jawa Jawa and Jawa 42.The Jawa 42, gets a flatter set of handlebars for a sportier riding stance.  It also gets blacked-out front forks and an offset instrument console. It will be available in 6 color options (Hally’s Teal, Galactic Green, Starlight Blue, Lumos Lime, Nebula Blue, and Comet Red). The Jawa 42 will be powered by a 293cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engine that offers 27 hp power and 28 Nm torque. It shares its bore and stroke with the Mahindra Mojo and gets mated to a 6-speed transmission. The Jawa Classic, on the other hand, is powered by the same BS6-compliant, 293cc cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, DOHC engine that makes 27 bhp and 28 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission. With its polished chrome and retro curves, the Jawa Classic harks back to the nostalgic 50s design. The two motorcycles rival the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic and Bullet 350 in the Nepalese market.
