The 4th generation Kia Sportage is now available in the Nepalese market. Kia Sportage, the longest-running KIA nameplate since 1993, is one of the best-selling compact SUVs globally. The new Sportage was launched during the silver jubilee celebration event of Continental Trading Enterprises, the sole authorized distributor of Kia Motors in Nepal.  Price starting at just NRs. 69.9 Lakhs, the fourth generation Kia Sportage comes in 4 variants on both petrol and diesel transmission including the GT Line. The variants include: Petrol – LX (Rs 69,90,000), LX Automatic (Rs 74,90,000), Diesel- LXI AWD (Rs 86,90,000) and GT Line (Rs 1,10,90,000)

The new Kia Sportage features a range of enhancements to cement its position as the brand’s best-selling model in Nepal. The new Sportage pairs an updated exterior and interior design with new safety and infotainment technologies, as well as efficient new powertrains. Upgrades to the Sportage range also include modifications to ‘GT-Line’ models.

The Sportage is also now available with an evolved version of its ‘tiger-nose’ grille, with new gloss black or matt black grille. New full-LED headlamps with four-point LED daytime running lights and redesigned fog lamps also provide maximum visibility and enhance the SUV’s light signature for a more modern appearance.At the rear, the slim combination lamps retain their horizontal shape, with the revised design featuring a new C-shaped LED light signature. The reversing lamp is integrated into the new rear bumper with longer reflectors positioned below and is now finished with a flash of chrome across its base.

Changes to ‘GT-Line’ include a new design gloss black radiator grille, gloss black and silver skid plates, and dark chrome inserts on the front bumper and side sills. The unique 19-inch alloy wheels of the ‘GT-Line’ have been redesigned, and all models are fitted with a dual exhaust rear valance and revised ‘ice cube’ LED fog lamp designs. On the inside, the upgraded model is equipped with a new steering wheel and revised driver instrument cluster, while the cabin is now available in new black-and-grey two-tone upholstery.

A series of tremendous features like 8 Speed Automatic Transmission, Paddle shifters with added performance, Drive mode selection (Normal, Eco, Sport), Larger panoramic sunroof, High performance suspension dampers, 7 inch AVN System with 8 pcs speakers, Voice recognition with Apple car play and android auto, standard ABS, Electronic stability control, Vehicle Stability Control downhill assist and Body shell made up of 51% Advance high strength steel boost safety, comfort, and convenience quotients.

6 new paint colors are available on the new Sportage, including new shades of Sparkling Silver, Iron Grey, Fiery Red, Mercury Blue, Clear white and Patina bronze.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Anish Lamichhane, Asst. General Manager of Continental Trading Enterprises stated – “We are very optimistic about new Sportage. It has been reasonably priced despite the fact that it is directly imported from Korea and comes with redefined premium features. We are proud to have successfully completed 25 years of KIA Motors in Nepal under the distributorship of Continental Group. We have a very ambitious expansion plan for 2019 as 4 new models are getting launched in due intervals and we plan to upgrade our existing sales and service network. Addition of two new KIA 3s center in Kathmandu is expected to provide better service to our customers.”
