Kia has unveiled the production version of its forthcoming EV3, a compact EV SUV positioned below the EV5 in the company’s lineup, aligning with its 'Opposites United' design philosophy.
Approaching the production phase, the EV3 draws design inspiration from Kia's flagship EV9 SUV. Teaser images highlight its dynamic, geometric exterior design, accentuating its futuristic appeal with elements like boxy rear fenders, a distinct tailgate, and Star Map lighting.
Utilizing Kia's 800-volt architecture, the EV3 will offer both single- and dual-motor configurations. Entry-level variants may adopt the 58.0-kWh battery pack seen in rear-wheel-drive iterations of larger models like the EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5, while higher-end versions might feature the newly unveiled 84.0-kWh pack slated for the 2025 Ioniq 5.
Kia aims to position the EV3 as a more affordable and accessible option for customers transitioning from conventional internal combustion vehicles to electric ones.
