India-based engineering and technology company Liger Mobility has unveiled Liger X and Liger X+, the world's first self-balancing electric scooters. The self-balancing electric scooters leverage the latest advancements in core sciences, IoT, and AI.The Auto-Balancing technology on Liger electric scooters enables a host of industry-first features like FootFreeStop, ReverseRide, Learn2Ride, and Over-the-Air updates (OTA). Basically, the self-balancing system allows riders to ride the scooter at low speeds or when the vehicle is stationary. This eliminates the need for riders to put their feet down while stopping. The rider can also manually activate and deactivate the Auto-Balancing feature. Both the Liger X and X+ are powered by a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery pack with a range of up to 60km-100 km on a single charge depending upon the model. Some of the features of the scooters include detachable batteries, LCD/TFT display, learner mode and auto-balancing, among others.
Liger says bookings for both scooters will open in mid-2023.
