The Mahindra Thar 5-door will be named the Mahindra Thar Roxx.
With the addition of two doors and an increased length and wheelbase, the Thar Roxx also features subtle design updates, including new circular headlights and a redesigned grille.
The engine options for the Thar 5-door are expected to include a 2.0L turbo-petrol and a 2.2L diesel. Both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions will be available.
The Thar Roxx will be equipped with a 4x4 drivetrain, featuring a low-ratio gearbox, a mechanical locking differential on the rear axle, and a brake-locking front axle. Mahindra may also offer a two-wheel drive variant to maintain competitive pricing.
The interior design of the Thar Roxx will retain the same cues as the current Thar but will be enhanced with new features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and an XUV700-inspired steering wheel.
Additionally, it will offer exclusive features such as a panoramic sunroof, Level-2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera setup, and more.
