Mahindra is going to introduce the new XUV400 electric SUV in India on September 8, 2022. The new XUV400 electric SUV has been spotted testing many times doing test runs in India and now the company has shared the official teaser of its first electric SUV revealing the launch date.
The upcoming Mahindra XUV400 gets a newly designed grille and Mahindra's twin peaks logo finished in Copper, indicating that the upcoming electric SUV will be part of Mahindra's XUV.e brand. Unlike the XUV300, the XUV400 will be larger in size to accommodate the electric powertrain. The teaser also shows a charging port.Based on the X100 platform, the Mahindra XUV400 will come powered by NMC battery packs from LG Chem, a subsidiary of LG Corporation. Mahindra says the NMC batteries ensure more power and a longer range. Expect a range of over 400 km on a full charge.The XUV400 will be Mahindra’s first major EV product after the REVAi, e2o, and eVerito. Mahindra recently unveiled its upcoming
five electric SUV concepts
based on the company's new INGLO EV skateboard platform. These concepts will be sold via two sub-brands, XUV.e and BE.The launch of the XUV400 will pave way for the launch of other Mahindra electric SUVs. Mahindra has confirmed that the production-ready Mahindra XUV.e8 will go on sale in December 2024 and the first BE EV will be launched in October 2025.
