MAW Vriddhi To Launch Sokon EC36 - 11 Seater Electric Van in Nepal

MAW Group, Nepal's one of the largest automobile conglomerates, representing numerous international brands such as Yamaha, JCB, Skoda, Jeep, Eicher, Changan, Fiat, Seres, Foton, and more, has announced the Sokon EC36 electric van for the Nepalese market.

Seres Group, globally known as Chongqing Sokon Industrial Group Co., Ltd, emerged from a partnership between Dongfeng and the Seres Group, a fully owned subsidiary of Chongqing Sokon Industrial Group Co., Ltd, established in 1986.

The group specializes in various products including smart electric vehicles, super urban SUVs, compact MPVs, and electric light commercial vehicles. These products are distributed to over 70 countries and regions. Leading the export market in China's micro-vehicle sector, Seres Group has also gained recognition for being among the first Chinese automotive brands to receive EU certification for its commercial vehicles.

In the international market, the EC36 features a 40 kWh battery pack to produce maximum power of 60 kW and torque of 200 Nm. Featuring a rear-wheel drivetrain, the EC36 reached 100 km/h speeds while the battery delivers up to 300 km range. Dimension-wise, the EC36 measures 4500mm in length, 1680mm in width and 2000mm in height. Similarly, it sits on 17-inch wheels. The EC36 comes with a seating arrangement for eleven people.
