Vishal Group, the diversified regional business conglomerate, is set to announce the launch of 'Maxus' brand in Nepal with the introduction of Maxus T60 pickup truck. Maxus is a commercial and passenger vehicle manufacturer and a wholly owned subsidiary of Chinese state-owned SAIC Motor.The Maxus T60 pickup truck is powered by a 2.8-liter turbo diesel motor that delivers 148 hp and 360 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The pickup truck will be available in a 4x4 configuration. The Maxus T60 also gets three driving modes- Eco, normal and power.Classified as a midsize pickup, the Maxxus T60 is the longest and widest in its class. The T60 has an overall dimension of 5365mm x 1900mm x 1809/1845mm (LxWxH). It gets a wheelbase of 3155mm, a generous ground clearance of 215mm plus a wading depth of 800mm making it an ideal fit for our terrain. The Maxus T60 pickup truck also comes with locking differentials to enhance its off-road capabilities, however, it does miss out on terrain modes.On the outside, the Maxus T60 pickup gets a bold front fascia with the brand's logo sitting in the centre of the chrome-slat grille. On the edges of the grille are LED headlights with DRLs. Other exterior kits include fog lights, body-coloured front and rear bumper, a stainless steel sports bar, side steps, power-folding side mirrors, and 17-inch alloy wheels.Inside, the T60 features a black cabin with power adjustable front seats, a multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel with height adjustment and audio/cruise control switches, keyless entry with push start ignition, automatic air-conditioning, and an integrated 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone mirroring.The T60 has also received a 5-star ANCAP rating for safety. It comes equipped with dual airbags, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), ABS+EBD+ESP for on-road control and safety, and features such as a reverse camera, rear sensors, cruise control, and lane departure warning system for additional driver assistance.Expect the Maxus T60 pickup truck to be priced around Rs 75-78 Lakh in the Nepalese market.Actual equipment list may vary
