MG Motor Nepal Introduces its First EV Charging App Dedicated to its EV Users

Paramount Motors Pvt. Ltd, the authorized importer and distributor of MG Motor in Nepal, has announced the launch of the Paramount Charging Solutions app, a dedicated mobile application designed exclusively for MG electric vehicle (EV) customers in Nepal. The app is available on both Android and iOS platforms.

This innovative app aims to provide a seamless user-friendly experience, ensuring convenient and efficient charging solutions for MG EV owners nationwide.  Upon downloading the app, customers can easily complete the sign-up process by filling in their details, streamlining access to the array of charging services offered. Integrating the Khalti digital wallet allows for quick and hassle-free payments within the app, adding to the convenience of MG's electric vehicle ecosystem.

Covering the entire nation, the Paramount Charging Solutions app provides access to MG’s 30 kWh DC Chargers, making it a comprehensive charging solution for MG ZS EV and MG4 EV owners in Nepal. Currently, Paramount Motors Pvt. Ltd., has around 11 DC charging stations around Nepal with promises of expanding in future.

RFID cards necessary

The app introduces the convenience of RFID cards, allowing customers to charge their vehicles at any MG DC Charging Station across the country. To utilize these services, customers are required to pay a nominal yearly subscription fee of Rs. 500 (Inclusive VAT) for the RFID card. This fee encompasses the maintenance of charging infrastructure, ensuring reliability and efficiency to its customers.

Additionally, it guarantees 24 x 7 availability of charging solutions (subject to terms and conditions) and enhances customer service by providing a seamless charging experience and addressing issues promptly.

How to apply for the RFID card? 

Customers can apply for the MG RFID card both online and offline. For online applications, individuals can visit here. For offline registration, they can simply download the offline form which is available on the website and follow the instructions provided, accordingly.

While filling the RFID request form, customers can choose one of the 21 MG Showrooms across Nepal as their convenient RFID card collection center, adding an extra layer of accessibility.

How much does it cost? 

Paramount Motors would like to clarify that, in adherence to the NEA (National Electricity Authority) policy, an additional 20% charge over the NEA rate per unit is applied, as set by the Nepal Government. This cost per unit may vary during peak and off-peak hours, allowing Paramount Motors to efficiently manage electricity demand, ensure grid stability, and provide cost-effective charging solutions to its customers.
