The current Euro NCAP tests are the most stringent ever, making this five-star rating a significant achievement for MG. MG’s all-new HS SUV also achieved the maximum five-star rating in the same Euro NCAP testing round.  According to the test result, the passenger compartment of the ZS EV remained stable in the frontal offset test. Dummy readings indicated good protection of the knees and femurs of both the driver and passenger.

The safety equipment on offer on the EV tested includes six airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners with load limiters, speed assist, lane keep assist and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) for pedestrians and cyclists in both city and inter-urban settings, as standard. However, the model available in Nepal misses out on the AEB or lane keep assist systems.

MG’s most talked about model, MG ZS EV has delivered record-breaking sales for the brand in the European market. More than 3,000 customers have placed orders for this pure electric compact SUV. MG Motor Nepal recently launched the ZS EV in the Nepalese market and the electric compact SUV has been receiving an excellent response, thanks to its value-for-money practicality.

The ZS EV is powered by a 44.5kWh, liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery, delivering a maximum range of 428 km on a single charge as per the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) and an 8 year or 150,000 km warranty in battery life.   Power figures of the ZS EV stand at 148 BHp and 350 Nm of torque. The ZS EV comes at an aggressive price tag of Rs. 49.99 lakhs which includes a 7KW AC charger, making it one of the most affordable all-electric compact SUVs in Nepal.
