Grantha Electric Vehicle, an upcoming Nepali electric vehicle start-up, has announced plans to establish an assembly plant for its electric scooters in Nepal. The assembly plant is expected to be operational in the coming months at Bhairawaha.
The company aims to provide customers with the best possible product by integrating components from renowned manufacturers around the world, says Sujan Dhungel, CEO of Grantha EV. Grantha Electric Vehicle's unique approach to assembling electric scooters is based on the power of individual procurement of components and customization, with the goal of offering the best value for money to customers, said the company in a statement. The company plans to crack the market by offering a cost-effective and customizable product, with greater integration of components, resulting in the best value for money for the customer.
The company's mission is to overcome the current industry scenario by procuring each component separately from specialized suppliers. By sourcing components from multiple specialized vendors, the company can reduce the middle margin and allow for customization to meet the specific needs of customers in Nepal. The company aims to offer more flexibility in terms of customization and to offer high-quality products at an affordable price, ensuring customer satisfaction and value for money.
As per the CEO, Sujan Dhungel, "The market practice for procuring components or fully assembled scooters for electric scooters often includes buying from a single vendor, which can result in additional costs associated with the vendor's procurement process, such as margin, administrative and selling costs, as well as their profit. This approach may also limit the ability to customize the product to meet specific needs and may depend on the vendors, resulting in limited control over the quality, durability, and reliability of the components. Mathematically it can be proven that buying all components from a single vendor is more expensive than buying each component individually. Our approach of individually procuring components from specialized suppliers allows us to overcome these limitations and provide our customers with the best value for their money."
Grantha EV's first EV in the Nepalese market will be the F5 electric scooter. The upcoming F5 electric scooter will feature a side drive motor, LFP battery, 16-inch front tire, 14-inch rear tire, CAN Bus communication system, and braking regenerative features, among others. These features will set Grantha Ev's electric scooters apart from its competitors and provide a high level of performance and convenience, claims the company.
