Nepal Drives Vol 3 Issue 12 Magazine Out Now!

After a devastating monsoon season, the clear skies and the festive spirit came as a welcome relief. It felt like the hard reset we all needed—a chance to recharge and get things moving again. Those fortunate enough to weather life's storms know how sweet the calm after can be, and this time, the calm was filled with anticipation and excitement.

In this issue of Nepal Drives, we start on a small yet intriguing note with the Kaiyi e-Qute 02. This compact city car has taken us for a spin, and we explore how well it holds up on the bustling streets of Bhaktapur. On the other end of the scale, we take the mighty Leapmotor C10 for a ride. And yes, we can’t help but thank the keen-eyed reader who mentioned its striking resemblance to a stormtrooper—it’s an image we simply can't shake! Don’t miss our deep dive into what makes this futuristic-looking EV stand out.

Mahindra AD

To round things off, we present two of the hottest new electric vehicles in the market: the Tata Punch EV and the sleek 2024 BYD Atto 3, resplendent in the eye-catching Cosmos Black.

2024 BYD Atto 3: New and Improved

On this test drive of the upgraded 2024 BYD Atto 3, which now also comes in Cosmos Black, we couldn’t help but recall a popular saying. You know the one: once you go black, you really begin to like the colour… or something along those lines. In almost every context, things look more premium when it comes in black. That is just the way it goes, we don’t make the rules.

And this holds true for the BYD Atto 3 because a cosmetic upgrade alone has completely changed the persona of the car. The BYD Atto 3 was, and is, a good-looking car. But, in the stunning Cosmos Black shade it looks significantly better. Luckily, if you’re not looking for a car in black, the 2024 BYD Atto 3 also comes in Ski White, Surf Blue, and Boulder Grey.

Leapmotor C10: Electrifying Value

In just a few short years, Electric Vehicles (EVs) have transformed from a niche novelty into a dominant force in the Nepalese automotive market. What once started with only a handful of models has now exploded into a vast array of options across every price point, with manufacturers flooding the market with choices. While this abundance is exciting for consumers, it also brings the challenge of deciding which EV is right for you. One suchoption today is the Leapmotor C10 SUV. But let’s tell you about who and when before we take you to the what.

Tata Punch EV: A Jab or A Knockout

Tata Motors EVs seem to have had their backs against the wall for a while, and the onslaught of Chinese EVs are to blame. Don’t be fooled, Tata EVs have had their fair share of success. The Nexon EVs did fairly well and the Tiago EV achieved great traction with its value-for-money proposition. Add to this their impeccable safety ratings and features, and Tata proves to be a force to be reckoned with.
