Nissan India Showcases X-Trail, Qashqai And Juke SUVs In India

Following the success of the Nissan Magnite in India, Nissan India now wants to leverage its expertise in SUVs by showcasing three of its most popular global SUVs for the Indian market.The Japanese carmaker has showcased three global models, X-Trail, Qashqai and Juke. All three SUVs are equipped with strong hybrid technology. While the new X-Trail is due for its introduction soon, the Qashqai and Juke are currently being tested on Indian roads for feasibility purposes.The all-new Nissan X-Trail, which is currently in its fourth generation comes equipped with the brand's e-Power drivetrain, which includes a high-output battery and powertrain integrated with a variable compression ratio petrol engine, power generator and a 150 kW electric motor. The new X-Trail gets three electrified powertrains - a 161 bhp mild-hybrid turbo petrol, a 201 bhp e-Power strong hybrid and a 211 hp all-wheel drive e-Power variant. The Nissan X-Trail e-Power is even available in 2WD and AWD versions.Similarly, the third-gen Qashqai will be offered in two different powertrain options – a 156hp,1.3-litre turbo-petrol with mild hybrid, and the other being an e-Power variant. The third SUV on display was the Nissan Juke. The second-generation Juke which comes powered by a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol strong hybrid system also features Nissan’s innovative e-Pedal Step system.
