Pioneer Moto Corp Pvt. Ltd, the sole authorised distributors for Nissan and Datsun in Nepal, has launched the hugely-awaited Nissan Magnite sub-compact SUV in Nepal at a starting price of Rs 29.49 Lakh. The Magnite has the most affordable starting price- and by far - among sub-compact SUVs in the Nepalese market. The sub-compact SUV will be available in four trims - XE (Base), XL (Mid), XV (Upper), and the XV (Premium) in a total of 11 variants. Here's a look at the detailed price list of the Nissan Magnite in Nepal:[table id=87 /]The Nissan Magnite created quite a buzz due to its aggressive pricing in the Indian market. The Magnite has been built on Nissan’s modular CMF-A+ platform that also underpins the Renault Triber. This particular platform is also used by Renault Kiger. The Nissan Magnite will be powered by a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that makes 98.63 bhp and 160 Nm of torque and a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit that delivers 71.02 bhp of maximum power, along with 96 Nm of peak torque. Both engines will be paired to a five-speed manual transmission.
At the front, the new Nissan Magnite gets a trapezoid-shaped grille, which is surrounded by a silver; finished bezel and large L-shaped DRLs. Below the grille, you get a one-piece black plastic panel and a faux skid plate right below that. The sides have been designed to accentuate the Magnite's sporty character. There is a floating-type roof effect, blacked-out ORVMs, gloss back cladding over the wheel arches, chrome handlebars, blacked-out side skirts with silver inserts, and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The Magnite gets the roomiest of cabin spaces with several variant-specific features like an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in voice recognition, cruise control, 360-degree cameras, etc. You get a dual-tone theme with stitched-fabric seats, best-in-class rear knee room and couple seat distance, and an all-digital 7-inch TFT instrument cluster for the driver with fuel economy and fuel history, and graphical tyre pressure monitoring, etc. The Magnite's glovebox - at 10 litres - is the largest in the segment. However, it misses out on sunroof or ventilated seats - both popular among the current car buyers.
On the safety front, the Magnite comes equipped with dual frontal airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, around view monitor, a tire pressure monitoring system, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. It also gets front seatbelt reminders as well as a high-speed alert system, etc.

The Magnite measures 3994mm in length, 1758mm in width, 1572mm in height. It gets a wheelbase of 2500mm and a ground clearance of 205mm (in unladen condition). Similarly, boot space stands at 336 litres which can be expanded up to 690 litres with the second-row seat down. It has a fuel tank capacity of 40 litres.
"The all-new Nissan Magnite marks the beginning of a new chapter in the Nissan NEXT strategy for the Nepali and the global market. Built on the philosophy of 'Make in India, Make for the World', the all-new Nissan Magnite comes with more than 20 first-in-class and best-in-segment features that provides consumers with a differentiated, innovative and accessible ownership experience," said Sinan Ozkok, President, Nissan Motor India & South Asia Markets In-charge.
Commenting on the same, Sandeep Sharda, Managing Director, Pioneer Moto Corp, said, "With the launch of the all-new Nissan Magnite, Nissan has reached a memorable milestone in its customer-centric journey for the Nepali market. Specifically, for our discerning Nepali customers, we are offering the Big, Bold, Beautiful and 'Carismatic' SUV at a special introductory price of NPR 29,49,000.
