Petrol And Diesel Prices Increased By Rs 10 Per Litre

Following the local elections, the government has sharply increased the price of petroleum products. The state-owned Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has hiked the price of petrol, diesel, and kerosene by Rs 10 per litre.After the price hike, petrol will cost Rs 170 per litre while the prices of diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 153 per litre. However, the price of cooking gas remains unchanged.According to NOC, even though the price has gone up by Rs 10 per litre, there is still a loss of Rs 14.36 per litre in petrol. Similarly, diesel has a loss of Rs 31.44 while kerosene has a profit of Rs 12.64 per litre respectively.These prices will be in effect from 12 am Sunday, May 15, 2022.
