Petrol And Diesel Prices Reach Record High; Prices Increased By Rs 5 Per Litre

The cost of fuel has skyrocketed with the prices of petrol, diesel, and kerosene reaching record-high levels. And, with rising geopolitical tensions, there seems no respite in sight.The state-owned Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has hiked the price of petrol, diesel, and kerosene by Rs 5 per liter. These prices will be in effect from 12 am Friday, March 4, 2022.After the price hike, petrol will cost Rs 150 per liter while the prices of diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 133 per liter. However, the price of cooking gas remains unchanged.According to NOC, even though the price has gone up by Rs 5 per litre, there is still a loss of Rs 16.28 per liter in petrol. Similarly, diesel has a loss of Rs 11.78 while kerosene has a profit of Rs 19.51 per litre respectively.
