Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has hiked the price of petrol, diesel, and kerosene by Rs 3 per liter yet again. These prices will be in effect from 12 am Saturday, February 19.After the price hike, petrol will cost Rs 145 per liter while the prices of diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 128 per liter. However, the price of cooking gas remains unchanged. According to the international market price, petrol has increased by Rs. 5.61 per liter, diesel by Rs. 5.62, and aviation fuel by Rs. 4.95 which has led to the price increase in Nepal. This increase has been announced shortly after the NOC declared itself bankrupt in late January of 2022. The state-owned oil monopoly has hinted that petrol prices could hit an all-time high, even reaching up to Rs150 per liter following dearer crude oil in the international market.
