MAW Expanze Pvt. Ltd, the authorised distributor of Skoda in Nepal, has launched the all-new Slavia sedan in the Nepalese market at a starting price of Rs 49,40,000 for the Active (Manual) trim and going up to Rs 74,90,000 for the Style (Automatic) trim. The Slavia will be available in three variants - Active, Ambition and Style, with an option of two transmissions - Manual and Automatic.
The all-new Slavia 1.0 TSI is powered by a 1-litre, three-cylinder turbo petrol engine that delivers 85 kW (115 Ps) of power and 178 Nm of torque to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The TSI engine is rated for a fuel efficiency of up to 19.47 km/l and can accelerate to 100 km/h in 10.7 seconds.
The Slavia is the tallest, widest and longest sedan in its class that promises utmost head, shoulder and legroom offering capacious accommodation for five adults, and a segment-leading ground clearance of 179mm.
The Slavia 1.0 TSI comes with a host of safety features including up to 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control, an Electronic Differential System for enhanced traction under cornering, and a Multi Collision Brake that prevents the vehicle from going out of control after a crash.
Other features like parking sensors, automatic brake disc cleaning function, rear-view camera, tyre pressure monitoring, Hill-Hold Control, ISOFIX anchorages, Cruise Control, auto headlamps and wipers are also available. The Slavia has received 5 stars in Global NCAP for its best safety arrangements.
Taking centre stage in the dash is a 10-inch advanced touchscreen with Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. For added benefit for the driver, the Slavia comes equipped with 8-inch colored programmable digital cockpit. For the rear passengers with dual AC vents and dual USB ports to charge personal devices are available.
