Spotted: Chery Tiggo 4 Pro In Kathmandu; Launch After Dashain

Chery Tiggo 4 Pro has been spotted in flesh in Kathmandu by one of our readers, signalling an imminent launch. Recently, Chery, China's largest passenger vehicles exporter, officially signed an agreement with SPG Automobiles, a company under Sharda group, as its authorized distributor for the Nepalese market.Chery is China's largest passenger vehicle exporter since 2003 and the brand is now readying itself for its second innings in the Nepalese automobile industry. Chery says the latest models offer more than just modern styling. Chery vehicles now come with better engineering and quality and affordable pricing.Now that the Tiggo 4 Pro has been spotted in the capital, expect SPG Automobiles to launch the car very soon, likely after Dashain. The Tiggo 4 Pro is a sub-compact SUV similar to the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos. As per our sources, the Tiggo 4 Pro will be available in a 1.5-litre petrol engine (144 bhp/210Nm) - coupled with a five-speed manual gearbox or six-speed CVT. According to the company, there's a test drive event scheduled for 26th October 2021.Chery has implemented a globalization strategy since its establishment and has become the first passenger car company in China to export complete vehicles, CKD parts, engines, manufacturing technology, and equipment to the global market. Up to now, Chery has exported to more than 80 countries and regions, establishing more than 1,500 sales and service outlets with more than 1.8 million accumulative export volume, remaining the biggest exporter of passenger vehicles in China for 18 years in a row.At present, Chery has an annual production capacity of 900,000 cars, engines, and 400,000 transmissions. Chery's products cover passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and minivans. Chery has several vehicle assemblies and component manufacturing facilities in mainland China, and its vehicles are assembled in around 15 other countries, around the globe. Currently, there are more than 20 models of Chery available on the international market, and in addition, dozens more will be released successively.
