Tata Motors Limited sales in the Indian & international market for January 2022 has stood at 76,210 vehicles, compared to 59,866 units during January 2021. The company has registered a growth of 27% over last year.In the passenger vehicle segment, Tata Motors grew 51% last month, having sold 40,777 units in the domestic market which included over 10,000 units of the Punch and Nexon. Besides recording the best-ever monthly sales, Tata Motors also registered the best-ever SUV sales in India last month; the company sold 28,108 units of SUVs in the Indian market last month.The company also recorded the highest monthly production since March 2007 in its Pune plant, while the Ranjangaon plant recorded its highest monthly production ever.Similarly, EV sales stood at 2,892 units which is a growth of 463% compared to January 2021. Moreover, the growth can also be attributed to the introduction of CNG variants of the Tiago and Tigor, with over 3,000 units sold during the month. The CNG variants accounted for 42% of the overall Tiago and Tigor sales.In the commercial vehicle front, the company's commercial vehicle business grew by 7% in January 2022, having sold 35,268 vehicles in January, out of which 31,708 units were sold in the domestic market.Tata Motors even recorded significant sales growth in December 2021 when several car companies were wiitnessing a slowdown due to the ongoing chip crisis.
